Variety Show - The Verdigre Community Chorus will present Hee Haw-Verdigre Style Thursday and Friday at 7:00 p.m. in the Verdigre High School Auditorium. The Chorus will sponsor a bus for the Thursday performance. The bus will depart from the Creighton High School parking lot at 4:15 p.m. and will travel to the Bloomfield High School parking lot at 4:50 p.m. The group will travel to the Commercial Hotel where dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. Following dinner, the group will be driven to the auditorium for reserved seating at the performance. The cost of $22 includes the bus trip, dinner and reserved seating. Contact Wilma Vakoc, 668-7206, Kathy Eisenhauer, 373-2420, or Mardene Dalton, 582-3311 for reservations. A meal with reserved seating at the performance will also be held Friday evening. This meal will be served at the Verdigre Fire Hall, catered by Kim Swanson of Niobrara. The cost of the 5:30 p.m. meal and reserved seating at the performance is $22. Please contact the above ladies for reservations. All reservations must be made by May 31. Reserved seating at both performances is for dinner-ticket holders only.

Pool Party - Free swimming at the pool at Wildwood Acres from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. KBRX will provide music and entertainment from 1-3 p.m. Prizes will be given away throughout the party.

Doc Walstrom Memorial Turtle Race - 4:00 p.m. at Chalupnik Park. Registration begins at 3:00 p.m. Only Box and Painted turtles will be raced. Award given for the largest turtle.

Road Rally - Register at the Fire Hall, beginning at 4:45. Departure anytime between 5 and 6 p.m. Entry fee is $2 per person. Prizes awarded! Contact Mitch Mastalir, 402-841-7395.

Kolach Royalty Ball - The Royalty Ball will be at the ZCBJ Hall from 8:00 p.m. -12:00 a.m. with Greg Blecha's Goodtime Polka Band providing polkas, waltzes, country and modern music. Coronation at 11:00 p.m. Admission: $5.00

Street Dance - The first street dance during Kolach Days will feature "Signal 21" performing on Main Street from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Admission: $5.00. NO COOLERS!!

10K Run - 5K Run/Walk - at 8:00 a.m. at Fire Hall. Only pre-registration needed is name and shirt size. Registration begins at 7:00 a.m. Registration fee is $15 - includes 2010 T-shirt, drinks, breakfast sandwich, trophies. Mud Volleyball Tournament - south of Schreiers Lumber Co. starting at 9:30 a.m. Entry fee: $60.00 per team. Preregister and prepay by June 8th. Limited to 24 teams. Contact Pat Svec at 668-2236.

Kiddie Parade - at 11:00 a.m. at Alpine Village. Registration begins at 10:00 a.m. or pre-register by calling Phyllis Douglas at 402-668-2209. No entry fee. Cash prizes. Theme: "Wild, Wild West". Leroy Hollmann entertains at 10 a.m. Available (10:00 a.m. to Noon): lunchstand, ice cream, popcorn. Drill Team to perform after parade.

Sand Dig - Immediately following the Kiddie Parade at Alpine Village. Dig for money and prizes!

Poker Run - 11:00 a.m. registration, 12:00 p.m. start. Sponsored by the Verdigre Improvement Club. Bikes and old cars. Point system for all hands; $20 per hand. Payback 50%. Contact Tim & Alisha Bartling for details, 402-402-2327.

Duck Races - Starting at 1:00 p.m. - Sponsored by Verdigre Organized Women (V.O.W.). Be sure to get your ducks at Country Creations.

VHS Alumni Banquet - Registration and social hour from 4:00-6:00 at the ZCBJ Hall. Tour the school from 2:00-4:00 p.m. The banquet begins at 6:30 at the ZCBJ Hall. The 2010 Kolach Royalty will be introduced during the program. Class reunions all weekend.

Free Dance/Youth Dance - Free Dance at the ZCBJ Hall starts at 8:30 p.m. Music by the Tyndall Accordion Club./ YOUTH DANCE From 9 p.m. to Midnight. Verdigre Public School Gymnasium. FREE ADMISSION!

STREET DANCE - from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Music by "Thudwinker". Admission: $5.00. NO COOLERS!!!

Annual Polka Mass - The Polka mass will be at 9:30 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. All faiths welcome.

Drill Team - will entertain at 1:00 p.m. in front of the Main Street Grandstand.

Grand Parade - The annual Grand Parade will begin at 1:30 p.m. Entries taken until that time. For information, contact Jim Sokol at 402-668-2892. Shaded seating at Chalupnik Park. Parade will be followed by the raffle drawings.

Kolach Eating Contest - on Main Street immediately following the parade. No entry fee. Sponsored by Creighton Area Health Services.

Polka Dance Contest - at 5:00 p.m at the ZCBJ Hall. Children and adults of all ages eligible. No registration fee. Trophies awarded to winners in all age divisions. Music by "Just Because".

Antique Tractor Ride - Bring your favorite tractor for a scenic ride of approximately 20 miles. Depart from north end of Main Street immediately following the parade. For information, call John Dather at 402-668-2336 or Dan Rohrer at 402-841-1360.

Old Fashioned Bathtub Races - 5 p.m. on Main Street. Entry fee: $20 per team, 3 people per team. Cash prizes. Contact Pat Svec at 402-668-2236. Sponsored by the VHS Powerlifters.
