VERDIGRE EVENTS CALENDAR

Although Kolach Days is VERDIGRE'S main event, many other activities take place throughout the year. Besides the many fundraisers such as pancake and chili feeds, the following events provide an enjoyable visit to Verdigre.

Labor Day Weekend: Verdigre To Host Vietnam Moving Wall at Wildwood Acres Park
Escort of the Vietnam Moving Wall by the American Legion Riders to Wildwood Acres on August 29, 2007 at 4 pm. Opening ceremony Thursday August 30 at noon. Program Sunday September 2, 2007 at 2 pm. The Vietnam Moving Wall will be available for public viewing from noon - August 30 until 2 pm Tuesday September 4, 2007.

Christmas Tour of Homes
V.O.W. sponsors the annual Christmas Tour of Homes, held in December. The purpose of this event is to promote the pride in Verdigre's homes. Contact Delores Ruzicka at 402-668-7271 for more information.

Community Chorus Christmas Concert
Held each year in December. The 2005 Christmas Concert will be held at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church on Sunday, December 4, 2005. Contact Laurel Johnson 402-373-2626 or Karen Sonder 402-668-7249.

Gun Show
For the past number of years each fall a Gun Show is held in the Z.C.B.J. Hall. Contact Steve Ives at 402-668-2684 for more information

Tomahawk Throwing Demonstration
Tour of two log cabins, horseback riding, nature hikes. Group tours by appointment. Contact Dean Wavrunek at 402-668-2868 for more information.

Farm & Home Show
Verdigre's FFA Alumni sponsors the annual Verdigre Farm & Home Show held at the Verdigre Public School Auditorium on the third weekend in January. Many local & distant farm and home related businesses have booths and drawings during the day long event. Nebraska Huskers football players Cory Schlesinger, Jeff Macovicka, Ryan Terwilliger, & Gerald Armstrong have all been guests signing autographs in past years.
